NATIONAL COMMITTEE 2016

Note for Nominees:

  1. Please provide as much detail as possible.
  2. Please indicate which position you wish to be nominated for.
  3. You must be nominated by ONE Unite member.
  4. Any personal e-mail and mobile phone number provided will help us contact you quickly. These details will not be made available to other members.
  5. Membership numbers can be found on your membership card.
  6. The Union contributions of both nominees and nominator should not be in arrears. Nominees will be contacted.
  7. Nomination forms to be submitted by 12pm on Friday 7th April 2017.

There are three vacancies on the CYPW National Committee and the term of office is till Autumn 2019

The roles and responsibilities of each committee member is as follows:

Student Convenor

  • To ensure that Section policies for recruiting, involving and supporting student members are implemented.
  • To work with the National Committee and Unite the Union officials and staff to promote union membership and involvement among youth, community and play workers across the UK.
  • To attend meetings of the National Committee which take place 4 times per year.

Wales Convenor

  • To progress the Section’s policies within the Union and to external organisations across Wales.
  • To be the JNC staff side representative on the Wales Education Training Standards committee.
  • To work with the Welsh CYPW members, the National Committee and Unite the Union officials and staff to promote union membership and involvement among youth, community and play workers across the Wales.
  • To attend meetings of the National Committee which take place 4 times per year.

Scotland Convenor

  • To progress the Section’s policies within the Union and to external organisations across Scotland.
  • To work with the Scottish CYPW members, the National Committee and Unite the Union officials and staff to promote union membership and involvement among youth, community and play workers across Scotland.
  • To attend meetings of the National Committee which take place 4 times per year.
