Save our libraries demo

JANUARY 21, 2020

On Saturday 3 November Unite, Unison and PCS are holding a joint demonstration and family-friendly rally in support of libraries, museums and cultural services.

If you love libraries and museums, galleries and theatres – beware, they’re under attack, facing cuts on a massive scale and if politicians don’t act soon, our communities could lose these vital services forever. Enough is enough. Stand with us and call on MPs to end cuts to our vital cultural services and #SaveOurLibraries.

11:00 at The British Library, Euston Road, London. The march sets off at noon to Parliament Square and the rally is due to finish by 16:00. Speakers include:

  • Kathy Smith (Bromley Unite)
  • Onay Kasab (Unite officer)
  • Christina McAnea (Unison AGS)
  • Nicky Ramanandi (Unison northern convenor)
  • Kamran Malik (Disability Rights UK)
  • Jeremy Corbyn (or Labour representative)
