Just give us a fair days pay!

The first strike by Bank of England workers in more than 50 years went ahead this week after last-ditch talks broke down.

Unite members at the Bank of England began a three day strike. All they are asking for is fair pay.

Without consulting the union or staff the bank have imposed a one per cent increase into the pay pot.

But this does not mean that workers get a one per cent pay rise! Some of the workers will get less than one per cent and up to a third of staff will get no pay rise this year!

The result of the Bank’s failure to negotiate with staff is that the Bank of England now faces its first strike action in over 50 years with the dedicated workforce now having to make their concerns heard from a picket line.
